Hotel review: Golden Tulip Amsterdam west

Wow contiki is done and I have so much to share. But for now I’m just so excited about the hotel we are staying in or should i say stayed in for our extra two nights in Amsterdam that I had to offer a review.

Unfortunately I can’t be sure of the actual rate since we got it at an amazing price because they were a very new hotel so it worked out 250 for both nights- which compared to the rates of other hotels and the quality was so amazing.

But I was not prepared for the amazing hotel we were lucky enough to stay at. Whilst its not in the heart of the city it only required two short tram stops which equal roughly 10 or so minutes to make it into Dam square.

We would say its the nicest hotel we have ever stayed in- the lobby is exquisite and the rooms even better. There’s electronically controlled door bells, do not disturb notifications and room cleans. The bathroom floor is magically heated and the boyfriend is very impressed by the complimentary swanky coffee machine.

Better yet the six/seven station buffet is amazing. It’s a bit pricey at 25-30 euro a head but the convenience and quality more than makes up. This ain’t no sizzler either, they call it s luxury buffet and it’s just that with plenty of grilling and salad stations, a wok station, cold entrees as well as hot; oh and the dessert station? Make your own sundaes, fruit, cakes.. You name it.

Even better I’d the fact that our room included a complimentary buffet breakfast both mornings.

Both meals definitely involved some indulging. And the boyfriend even remarked that it was the first time since contiki that he felt like he ate properly hahha.

We would definitely stay here again and can’t wait to!

do you enjoy buffets?

Ps. I wish I could upload the buffet shots but they are all on my camera!
