I love Mondays- I realise I’ve said it many times before, but Mondays just rock okay.

I did some perusing round the grocery stores and I managed to pick up a few special items.
Finally got a new packet of Chia seeds
Some sunflower seeds- I see sunflower butter in my future
and something I’ve never bought or used before…Rice Malt Syrup.
PureHarvest Organic Brown Rice Syrup found in the Coles health aisle is regarded as a healthy sweetener made from organic brown rice. Therefore making it a derivative of a complex carbohydrate with a lower GI than normal sugar, and full of the good stuff brown rice gets too
It also means you won’t get that sugar spike and in my case the sugar rush of addiction afterwards. It is naturally produced with no added sugar, preservatives or additives. (After perusing the PureHarvest website
I’ve found that they also make organic raw honey and I’m very impressed, check it out
After dipping my finger it has a similar consistency and taste to sugar, albeit a little less dominant in flavour. I can’t wait to start using it in baking and recipes!
