Ouch Spray

Okay, my absence this morning? Definitely not intended. Would you believe I had a blog post up and ready but hadn’t scheduled it. Oh the drama.

In the wake of this, it made me wonder what you would prefer from Crave:

  • Daily Posts Or Twice Daily.

I’m currently posting twice daily, with the morning post usually on a topic of choice and the evening on the rambles of my life.

I’d be interested in what YOU want from me in terms of posting, and whether twice daily is too much or just right.

So let’s vote!

How often would you like to see new posts on Crave?

Anyways, welcome to the middle of the week. You’ve officially kicked butt for the first half and hopefully the weekend will be upon us before we know it. I’m extremely excited, since I’ve got one heck of a weekend planned.

But let’s stick to Wednesday for now. It was an early and chilly (oddly) start this morning as I taught a 6:00am Body Step class. I came home only to make the bed, eat breakfast (loving my vegie scrambles) and then head out for another Body Step class.

Lucky for me I had my ouch spray.

Mum recently bought it for me to help with muscle soreness.

I don’t know if it’s a psychological thing or if it actually works but I’ve felt like it helps. It’s not the nicest tasting spray, I will admit, but the taste doesn’t last long.

It’s not some kind of miracle spray. Truth be told, I’m still pretty sore but I know things could be worse. I guess this is where a protein powder would also help?

Then it was home, essential foam rolling and off to work. Wednesdays are becoming a bit of a dreaded day for me purely because they are so long. I’m up at 5:20am and don’t finish work till 10pm- loooonnnnngggggg day! The early mornings are worth it though, since I LOVE what I do.

I also have some very important information to share.

This here is my lunch [brown rice, tuna, beans, mushrooms <-- protein power house] and this is the best curry powder I’ve ever had. Haha, maybe announcing it as ‘very important information’ was a tad dramatic, but taste it and you’ll see why it’s necessary.

Usually I mix salsa through it but I was all out and I saw this godly bottle. I was a bit hesitant because curry powder can come on quite strong when it’s on its own. This was not the case- it rocked and I found myself sprinkling copious amounts on as I ate.

I was surprised when I saw the first ingredient was coriander… considering I hate the stuff, ha.

Anyways, I’m off to countdown my last hours at work (4!). Enjoy your Wednesday!

  • If you’re not a poll-kinda person- why not tell me how often you’d prefer to read new posts from Crave.

Definitely prefer twice daily posts from bloggers – I find daily posts can be very long and tend to combine topics which doesn’t allow for focusing on one as much eg. Trying intuitive eating, a new recipe etc. with room for a few random thoughts scattered without. I think your current format is great :)

Curry powder is fantastic for adding flavor! One of my favorite easy-to-assemble work lunches is spinach and rocket leaves, tuna (oil), avocado chunks, chopped carrot and tomato pieces and a bit of mayo with a good dose of curry powder mixed in. Delicious. I got this idea while scanning the 2007-2008 archives of KathEats!

Funnily enough I don’t like coriander either! Except in this spicy avocado dip I bought from Woolies recently that I’ve become quite addicted to…

Thanks for letting me know :) I just didn’t know if it was too much and bombarded people. Always good to get feedback!

Isn’t it just? My fav is a curried egg mmm, still obsessed. That sounds great!

My bf told me for some people coriander has a different more pleasant taste. I guess I’m NOT one of those people. Oh yum, sounds good ;)

  2. I’ve read that some people have or don’t have an enzyme that processes coriander differently and to them, it tastes soapy! :)

  3. OK, I’m going against the grain here but I prefer bloggers who post once a day or less. I think if a blogger posts twice a day, it can sometimes seem like they’re fishing for content. I also find it really hard to keep up with posts when they are so frequent!

Not to mention I have no idea how you find the time to blog twice a day! I’m seriously impressed!

That’s what I was thinking- it’s too much for readers haha. But I guess each to their own.

I’ll wait out for more responses and just see what people think. I’ll probably stick to twice a day till uni goes back and then drop to once, and maybe twice on days I’m talkative or have time.
