Oh wow, is my body angry at me or what? Yesterday was one of those ‘snackie’ days. You know, those days when you could eat everything in sight. I don’t know if it was the fact that I was slightly hungover (didn’t drink that much, but I hardly ever drink so..), because I was tired from the 5 hours sleep, my sporadic eating schedule (the day before I really should have made more of an effort to get snacks in) or simply because I’m a normal human being who has moments like this. Either way I ate different yesterday (not to mention the alcohol the night before) and my body isn’t use to it I guess it’s not lovin’ it. Lucky it’s not going to continue. I woke up feeling nauseous but had to suck it up and teach a Body Step class at 5:45am this morning. I made it through, but definitely had to take my options throughout.

Anyways, I’ll take this as a friendly reminder from my body- what it wants (or think it wants) isn’t always what it needs. I’ve got to make sure I’m fuelling my body properly so it can perform the way I want it to. That’s not to say I shouldn’t have snacked- no not at all. But I probably should have made more of an effort to get my vegies and good stuff in and a little bit less of that snackie stuff. Oh well, live and learn- and hay, what’s like without a bit of snacks right?

I will admit even though I’m a preacher for moderation and balance, sometimes I do forget to practise what I preach. I.E. Sometimes I forget to relax a bit and enjoy a bit of a snackie, ya know. And that’s not fair to you guys (or me!). If I’m going to put my name behind something like this, I’ve got to put my actions behind it too..and sometimes I lose sight of that. But hay, we can’t all be perfect.

Anyways, on the cards today: I’ll probably give Bike a miss just because I don’t want to test this nausea and I’d prefer to do the Pump class anyways. Plus I’ve got another Body Step class to teach tonight. Oh and in between all that there will be quality time with my sexy boy. He rostered this day off because we had planned to stay down the Coast for an extra night, but ended up changing to just the one night when I found out that it was my week to teach (I teach the Mon 5:45am every fortnight).
